We are going to have to simulate a "mother ship" with a laptop attached with a ladar scanner. It has to be modified to use a stepper motor instead of a constant-speed motor to fix the "zig-zag" lines that appear while scanning. The ladar scanner will be used to map out the terrain the "mother ship" is in. We will then have additional robots called "workerbots" that will traverse the terrain guided by the mother ship. To accomplish this we are going to have develop a method of communication and automonity for the robots to be able to get the workerbots to their destinations safely.
