The proposed design challenge, for the team, was to design and build a new analog front end (AFE) PCB to interface a CardioSim II ECG simulator with a Stellaris Oscilloscope EVM. The purpose in developing the PCB was to give the precision analog group at TI a new demonstration board to be able to showcase several components in the precision analog portfolio. The demonstration board is capable of amplifying and conditioning an ECG signal from both the cardio simulator as well as taking measurements from a user's fingertips. The components featured on the board are the INA333 Instrumentation Amplifier, OPA378 Op-Amps, and the TPS7A4201 Low Dropout Regulator (LDO).
