This gives me an opportunity to explain concepts that may be unclear, to get feedback on how the class is going, and to get to know you on a more personal level. As far as possible, however, I ask that you restrict this activity to the scheduled office hours. If it is impossible for you to see me or call me during the scheduled office hours, I would be happy to make alternate arrangements.
Course objectives:Upon a successful completion of this course, the student/participant should be able to: Understand the concepts of soil and groundwater remediation Design, perform and evaluate feasibility testing. Determine appropriate remediation strategies using laboratory and field data. Design safe, functional, and economical remediation strategies Understand the design process, in general, and hazardous waste remediation design, in particular. Determine ARARs. Develop a health and safety plan. Develop a business plan and project work plan. Develop a community relations plan. Write detailed design reports relative to the various environmental, engineering, safety, costs. and technical issues. |
