Environmental Engineering
Our strength in environmental engineering encompasses the development and implementation of chemical and biological remediation techniques,
modeling of contaminant transport through ground and surface water, and geoenvironmental engineering. Strong university-wide collaborations
exist. We are a partner of the Hazardous Substance Research Center headquartered at Purdue University, and also partner with the MSU Center
for Microbial Ecology. Primary sponsors of research projects are the National Science Foundation, the US Environmental Protection Agency,
the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, and the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences.
