Engineering Study Abroad in Turkey

College of Engineering students in MSU can take several classes at Anadolu University in Turkey. All engineering programs at Anadolu University are accredited by MUDEK, a non-governmental, independent Turkish engineering accreditation organization. MUDEK criteria for accreditation closely follow ABET EC2000 Criteria. MUDEK is a partner of the European Accreditation Programme for Engineering.

Several engineering faculty at Anadolu University have received doctoral or postdoctoral training in the US or European countries. Numerous students from European universities take engineering courses at Anadolu University as part of the Erasmus exchange program. Anadolu University conducts an extensive distance education program with an enrollment of 1.6 million students that extends into several European countries. Although none of the courses offered include engineering courses, the recognition of distance education degrees offered by Anadolu University by European countries is a testament to the quality of their programs.

Detailed information about the program can be found at: http://www.egr.msu.edu/~kutay/Turkey/Engineering_Study_Abroad_in_Turkey

Volgograd, Russia (Mid May - Mid June):

Civil and Environmental Engineering students have the opportunity to take a wide variety of degree required courses in Russia during the Summer Semester. On campus instruction will begin on May 5th. Students will depart for Russia on May 17th or 18th, returning to campus on June 22nd or 23rd.

Although the offerred courses can change each summer, expected courses are IAH 221C, ME 361, STT 351, CE 305, CE 406, CE 491, and CE 844. If there is sufficient interest some of the following courses may be offered: RUS 211, RUS 290/490, RUS 493, and CE 405. All courses are taught in English by U.S. and Russian faculty members. All students must be in good academic standing, with a grade point average of at least a 2.00 at the time of application. Meeting this minimum grade point average requirement does not, however, guarantee admission. Additional eligibility criteria may apply, and students must be judged academically prepared by appropriate program faculty members.
