Interests:
Dr. Mantha's research interests are in the area of reactive transport
and the fate of contaminants in surface water and groundwater. The focus
of his current research is on understanding near-shore processes in
the Great Lakes and the transport of pathogens in the environment. He
is particularly interested in integrating laboratory and field-scale
observations with modeling to explore the relevant processes and parameters.
Dr. Mantha is developing improved methods for reactive transport modeling
in the presence of physical and chemical heterogeneity as well as models
for surface water groundwater interaction.
