Interests:

Dr. Haider's research interests are in the area of pavement material characterization, performance modeling, management, and rehabilitation. His current research has been focused on (i) the mechanistic characterization of recycled asphalt mixtures, (ii) the rehological properties of aged and virgin binders, (iii) the statistical modeling of axle load spectra for mechanistic-empirical pavement design, (iv) the implementation of Superpave asphalt binder and mixture specifications, (v) the effectiveness of pavement preservation treatments, (vi) the effects of non-liner damage accumulation on pavement performance, (vii) the use of advance/efficient statistical techniques in modeling pavement performance, and (viii) the calibration of performance models in mechanistic-empirical pavement design.
