Dr. Bryde's research is primarily focused toward areas associated with the development, updating and presenting of Michigan State University's offerings involving alcohol and other Drug enforcement and speed-measurement enforcement training. Dr. Bryde's teaching encompasses highway traffic safety enforcement issues with a focus on alcohol and other impairing drugs on highway safety. His primary responsibilities involve outreach and technology transfer to members of law enforcement, the courts, local and county prosecutors and highway safety organizations. In addition, he consults with members of the legislature on traffic safety legislative issues.
