The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) student chapter draws students from all disciplines although the MSU chapter is "based" in Civil and Environmental Engineering. The group is actively involved in the sponsorship of review classes/sessions for the "fundamentals in engineering" examination which is the first step in becoming a professional engineer.

Dr. Roger Wallace is the chapter's faculty advisor.
