The ITE student group sponsors several meetings throughout the year. Major activities include participation with the Michigan Section of an Annual Golf Outing (which supports a significant number of scholarships to students studying transportation engineering), and a trip to the annual Transportation Research Board (TRB) meeting held in Washington, DC in January of every year.

The annual TRB meeting is attended by thousands of transportation professionals from across the nation. CEE students are encouraged to attend a selection of technical presentations and some of the numerous events sponsored by transportation consultants and ITE chapters.
