Broad Business Forum in Metro Chicago - May 19th at the University Club (2011)
Enabling the Smart Mobile Internet
Just as mainframe computers shaped the 1960s and the personal computer changed the
1980s, smartphones will transform the decades ahead. Today, the demand for Internet
services over mobile networks is creating unprecedented challenges for mobile
operators, application developers, smartphone suppliers,
telecommunications-equipment providers and consumers.
In this keynote address, Tellabs? Executive VP and CFO Tim Wiggins (BA Accounting
'79), will discuss how the global supplier of telecommunications equipment is
transforming its strategy, technology and business operations to enable the smart
mobile Internet.
MSU Deans Stefanie Lenway of the Broad College of Business and Satish Udpa of the
College of Engineering will elad a professor and practitioner panel to discuss the
path of MSU technology research to commercial application and investment.
