| In conjunction with the Human Factors and Medical Packaging Group, we are developing equipment and methods to quantify the amount of torque generated by various users. Studies have shown a relationship between the size of a person's hand and the amount of torque they can apply. These studies were conducted on a single size jar and closure. Our research will determine if correlations exist between the size of a person's hand, the diameter of a closure, and the amount of torque generated by the consumer at the closure. | |
