ASPECT Manikin

The ASPECT manikin was designed through Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and in conjunction with eleven automotive companies. Its purpose is to replace the OSCAR J826 seating manikin and is expected to become an SAE standard tool by the year 2003. When fully loaded, the ASPECT manikin represents a seated 170 lb male, 5'8"-5'10" in stature. Like the OSCAR manikin, ASPECT can measure back angle and hip angle. Unlike OSCAR, ASPECT has an articulated back to measure the lumbar prominance of the seat.
