Our team has some of the most motivated, team orientated, elite engineering students MSU has to offer. Each sponsor may request an annual resume book including all team members' resumes.

This experience is not available in the classroom environment to further the education of future engineers. Students becoming future employees will be able to take initiative and apply theories and ideas to real world, open-ended problems.
Students learn to design and manufacture a race vehicle and all of its components, considering cost, weight, performance, and reliability, in a team environment.
In the near future, our team members will be graduating and accepting positions in the industry. Naturally, when we are familiar with your products and services, we will be more apt to apply them to our various engineering solutions.
Sponsors are informed quarterly on the progress of the team through newsletters published by the Baja SAE Team. Sponsors are also invited to come out and drive each year's new car. This gives one the opportunity to see what motivates all of the team's long hours and hard work. We hope to bring honor and recognition of excellence to both the sponsors and the MSU Baja SAE Team.
The Michigan State University Baja SAE Team relies on the support it receives from sponsors to help achieve high standards of excellence. The Baja SAE Team is an extracurricular educational project with no intrinsic income source. Therefore, sponsorship is vitally important to the team's participation and success in competition. Cash and Product support will be acknowledged as contributions to Michigan State University and are tax deductible under current application regulations. Michigan State University's Baja SAE Team holds nonprofit tax status as an educational entity affiliated with Michigan State University. Previous MSU Baja SAE cars have successfully used many new concept materials donated from sponsors. Implementation of this opportunity depends on the circumstances surrounding the component and applicability to the MSU Baja SAE Vehicle. Your company logo will be placed visibly on most team paraphernalia including T-shirts and banners. Each sponsor's logo will be placed on the body of the newly completed car. International Society of Automotive Engineers media coverage at the annual competition complements the team's press releases.
The success of Michigan State's Baja SAE Team is directly related to the generous donations we received from industry. Baja SAE is a great learning opportunity for aspiring engineers. Baja has provided hands-on engineering experience and knowledge that cannot be gained in a typical classroom setting. Team members agree that participating in the project has demonstrated to us the applications of skills acquired in classes, taught us to design with manufacture in mind, and forced us to practice goal-setting, leadership, teamwork, budgeting, and project management. This would all be impossible without the financial support of the MSU College of Engineering and the many companies who sponsored us. From the MSU Baja SAE Team, you have our heartfelt thanks!
The Michigan State University Baja SAE Team is always in need of financial support from industry. At the beginning of each competition season (usually in August and September) the team sends out sponsorship packets to industry leaders in hopes to obtain enough donations to finance the expenses associated with building the car and travel for the team members to competitions at the end of the spring semester. To receive a hard copy of the funding infomation, please contact the team.
