The Michigan State University chapter of the American Water Works Association and the Michigan Water Environment Association was created in August 2008, as a sub-chapter of the Environmental Engineering Students Society (EESS) at MSU. Our mission is to enhance students' participation in drinking water issues, establishing connections between the university and the water treatment industry to promote future engineers involvement in safeguarding water supplies at all levels.

Our chapter offers all interested students an industry oriented perspective of the opportunities available in the field of drinking water. In collaboration with the Michigan section of the American Water Works Association & the Michigan Water Environment Association; we aim to provide updated information and activities to connect students to water related events and networking opportunities.
