If you are looking for the SPE Nano 2006 Workshop, please click here.

The Composites Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) is offering a one-day workshop titled "Compounding and Molding of Multifunctional Polymer Nanocomposites" at the Composite Materials and Structures Center, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI on September 13, 2004, the day before the SPE Automotive Composites Conference & Exhibition (ACCE) meeting.

The workshop will illustrate improvements in electrical conductivity, barrier to vapors and mechanical properties with well dispersed nanoscale fillers in polymers, plus structural characterization of nanocomposites. This will include four lectures given by experts from industry and academia and four 45-minute demonstrations that will be run repeatedly, enabling groups of participants to cycle through them. Handouts on all phases of the workshop will be provided. The registration fee for members of SPE is $495. Non-members may pay the membership fee of $120 in addition and register for a total of $615. The deadline for registration is August 31st, 2004.
