MTU Career Exploration Program AIChE Scholarship
(The deadline for applications was March 18, 2004. A new scholarship will be awarded in the next calendar year.)
For the nineteenth year in 2004, the Mid-Michigan section of AIChE was pleased to offer an exciting scholarship opportunity to students in the Tri-Cities area. The scholarship covered room, board, tuition, and a $100 travel allotment for a one-week session at the Michigan Technological University (MTU) Summer Youth Program.
Program Description: The Summer Youth Program is a one-week program at the MTU campus, which gives students an opportunity to explore careers and develop skills. The students will participate in laboratory, classroom and field experiences in a selected career area. This scholarshipcovers sessions in various disciplines of engineering, science, and computers. This scholarship is specific to the Summer Youth Program and is limited to explorations in engineering, science, math, and computers.
Eligibility: Geographically, the pool of applicants will include the same general area represented by the mid-Michigan chapter of AIChE. Area students currently in grades 9-11 and who have not received this Summer Youth Program Scholarship in the past are eligible to apply. A maximum of three students will be awarded scholarships.
