Stacy Steinhauer 2007-2008 Vice President, Publicity I am from Lansing, Michigan and graduated from J.W. Sexton High School. After graduation I attended Lansing Community College for five semesters and got my associates in chemistry, engineering, and chemical technology. I then transferred here to MSU in the spring of 2006, where I started in the chemical engineering program. I will graduate (hopefully) in May of 2008. I chose chemical engineering for one reason; scholarship. I was awarded a full-ride scholarship my junior year of high school to go to LCC and MSU. The catch was that I had to go into and engineering field. That wasn't a problem for me since I enjoy the sciences. I chose chemical engineering because chemistry was my favorite course in high school and I dread anything physics related. I haven't decided what exactly I want to do after I graduate. I definitely want a job, but not sure with what kind of comapany. I currently work at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) here at MSU, where I am a student assistant in the SRF group. I have worked there since January 2007, and plan to stay there through graduation. I am the VP of Publicity in AIChE. What I do is keep the website updated and make sure that all of the members of AIChE know about the meetings and events we have.
