"Regional student paper conferences are an excellent opportunity for students to present their research in a formal technical meeting atmosphere, and exchange ideas and programs with students from other schools within the same geographical region. Student presenters compete for three cash prizes in graduate and undergraduate categories. Papers are evaluated for both technical content and presentation delivery.
        First place regional winners are invited to the AIAA National Student Conference competition which is held during the AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting each January in Reno, Nevada. AIAA provides travel expenses and hotel accommodations, and presenters compete for cash prizes for one graduate award (master's level only) and one undergraduate award."
