Graduate Degree in:
Biosystems Engineering

Two degree programs in Biosystems Engineering are offered:

The M.S. with thesis option (plan A) is suited for students planning to work in research and development, or for those who hope to continue toward a Ph.D. degree. Plan B, the non-thesis option, is intended for students who want to broaden their knowledge of the field through course work alone. The Ph.D. program is designed for students who want a career in teaching and/or research in the universities, the private sector, or government organizations.

An application for admission to Michigan State University may be obtained at http://grad.msu.edu/apply.htm. You are required to apply on-line.

Prospective students may contact the MSU Office for International Students and Scholars, and the MSU Graduate School, Prospective Students for additional information.

Our programs in Biosystems Engineering are excellent, and we are eager to have outstanding students join us in our academic pursuits.

James Steffe, Professor and Graduate Program Director
