2001 Alumni Distinguish Scholarship Competition The 2001 Alumni Distinguished Scholarship (ADS) competition, held February 9-10, 2001, is recognized as one of the nation's outstanding scholarship programs for selected academically talented high school seniors. To elect the winners, Michigan State conducts the Alumni Distinguished Scholarship Competitive examination on the East Lansing Campus. The examination is multiple choice and covers mathematics, science, social science, and humanities. The stipend, which is renewable over eight semester, covers tuition, fees, room and board, plus $1,000 per year. In addition, up to 20 ADS participants will be offered Distinguished Freshman Scholarships, which cover the cost of tuition for four academic years. Recipients of these scholarships may study in any academic field at Michigan State University. The scholarship awards are based entirely on superior intellectual performance and potential. Biosystems Engineering consistently attracts many of these academically gifted students and we are proud of the hard work and dedication these students bring to our program. |
