
biosystems engineering alumni tie the knot
Biosystems engineering alumni, Ian Radtke and Maureen Beck, were wed
on July 16, 2005 at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Petersburg,
MI.
Maureen and Ian were friends and classmates for two years. In their
senior year, they worked on the same Quarter Scale Pulling Tractor Senior
Design Team. Through many long hours of senior design work, Ian and
Maureen became a couple.
Maureen graduated in 2003 earning a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems
Engineering. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Agricultural
Engineering at Purdue University. Maureen is currently employed at Caterpillar,
Inc. as a hydraulic test engineer.
Ian developed an undying love for tractors (especially red ones), which
led him to major in Biosystems Engineering at Michigan State University,
which he finished in 2003. He was captain of the Quarter Scale Tractor
Pulling Team. He also has his own International 1066 pulling tractor.
Currently, Ian is working on his Master of Science at Purdue University
in Agricultural Engineering. After he finishes, he will work for Caterpillar
Inc. as transmission design engineer.
