11th Annual
International Environmental Design Contest

Biosystems Engineering seniors, Kathryn Streams, Nichole Ritchie, Megan Laird, Maria Suparno and Molly O'Flaherty, will be competing in the 11th Annual International Environmental Design Contest to be held in Las Cruces, New Mexico on April 9 - 12, 2001.
The Biosystems Engineering team's task is the Detection of Fecal Contamination in Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Develop The MSU team is to demonstrate a novel process that can rapidly determine whether fresh produce has been subjected to fecal contamination. Teams should design and test their method for effectively and rapidly detecting biological or chemical indicators.
