This
course will emphasize understanding and evaluating conventional septic
systems for onsite wastewater management. In-depth training will include
an extensive hands-on field component. An examination will be administered
to evaluate the knowledge level of participants on completion of the course.
A separate course will be offered at another date for those interested
in learning to evaluate systems involving pumps and controls.
First
Day -- 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Second Day -- 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

of onsite system failure

- Working
with homeowners; homeowner education

of checklists and questionnaires

of inspection, levels of detail, limitations
- House
and building sewer
- Evaluating
site and soil factors
- Detailed
system evaluation of septic tank and absorption system
- Sampling
and sample protocol
- Record
keeping and report writing

Fee includes technical materials and lunch for two days. Payment must
be included with registration form. No invoicing. Refund of $175.00 ($25.00
