DESIGN OF MOUND SYSTEMS February
22, 2002 A one-day course to provide background information for those who are involved in or wish to become involved in design of mound systems for onsite wastewater treatment. Sponsored by the Michigan Onsite Wastewater Training and Education Center Developed by the Michigan Technical Advisory Council for Onsite Wastewater Treatment In Cooperation with Departments of Agricultural Engineering and Crop and Soil Sciences and MSU Extension In conjunction with the Ingham County Health Department This one day class will cover the entire procedure for mound design based on the best available science. Since this session was requested by Ingham County Environmental Health Staff, the Ingham County Rules and the MDEQ recommendations they must follow for subdivision and parcels under one acre will be discussed as well. Topics to be covered include:
Participants should bring laptop computers if they have them. We anticipate working through examples. We expect to be able to provide software for you to use and take with you. REGISTRATION Make check payable to Michigan State University at $100 per person. Fee includes technical materials, coffee breaks and software. Payment must be included with registration form.
