Costs & Financial Aid
In the Electrical Technology program at Michigan State University,
students will be responsible for payment of tuition, registration and
orientation fees. The amount of tuition depends on a students residency
status, i.e.: if he or she is a resident of the State of Michigan, or
out-of-state resident. In addition to tuition, students will be responsible
for books and course packs. In a typical semester in this program, these
costs are generally less then $200. Students will be required to purchase
their own hand tools. A starter set of tools will run for less then
$200. Emphasis on residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial
wiring.
Students will have other costs involved that may include housing costs.
Housing costs can very depending on if the student lives on or off campus,
and the specific type of accommodations. It is a university requirement
that all freshman and most sophomore students live on campus in university
housing. Please see the Housing Page for more information. Additionally
plan on having living expenses for such things as entertainment, food,
dates, trips. This amount varies by student.

Financial Aid
There are various types of Financial Aid that are available to students.
Financial Aid ranges from government and private grants and scholarships
to work study and student loans.

A special scholarship is available only to Agricultural Technology
students. Information will be given to students regarding this scholarship
at orientation. All Agricultural Technology students are invited to
apply for this scholarship. Information will also be available from
the instructors in the program
