Admission Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent with a C or greater GPA in academic core courses

Other Information:

  • ACT / SAT are helpful but not required
  • Skill center electrical experience helpful but not required
  • Electrical experience in the field is helpful but not required

Application:

The Institute of Agricultural Technology application form can be obtained on-line, from a high school, at the Institute of Agricultural Technology (517) 355-0190, or Jon Althouse at the Agricultural Engineering Department (517) 353-4896.

Application Fee:

A fee of $30.00 is required to be submitted along with the application.

How to Apply (Application Form):

Fill out the application completely and take it to your high school counselor for competition. The high school counselor will mail the application to the Institute of Agricultural Technology, 120 Agriculture Hall, Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan 48824. DO NOT send the application to the MSU Admissions Office. Electrical Technology applications are handled separately, from regular MSU admissions.
