Welcome to the Applied Engineering Sciences major at Michigan State University!

AES is a unique, interdisciplinary program designed to prepare individuals who can integrate a broad foundation of coursework from the engineering sciences, core engineering disciplines and apply them to a diverse range of challenges and problems in business, industry and government. Typical job titles of recent graduates include Logistics Engineer, Procurement Specialist, Technical Sales Engineer, Project Manager, and Telecommunications Specialist. Graduates are hired by many of the Fortune 500 companies, as well as many small specialized firms. With strong cognate areas of study in Business-Supply Chain Management or Telecommunication, this program is well positioned to prepare graduates with strong analytical capabilities, communication skills, business knowledge and the leadership required of the engineer of the future.
