Mechanical Engineering - Academic Advising
The Mechanical Engineer applies the fundamental principles of mechanics, thermosciences, and design to the needs of society. These principles are delineated in the subjects of solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, design, systems analysis, control theory, vibrations, and machine design. Employment opportunities exist in the areas of design, development, and production, including products such as automobiles, power plants, gas turbines, air conditioners, heat exchangers, robots, control systems, electronic equipment, computers, aircraft and space vehicles.
