Biosystems Engineering - Academic Advising
The Biosystems Engineering program enables students to combine the basic science of biology with the engineering principles to identify the ultimate sources of problems and seek sustainable, environmentally sound solutions that minimize waste and continually recycle materials. The major emphasizes food engineering, biological engineering, plant and animal environments, physical properties, material handling and processing, and soil and water management. Employers include food processing companies, manufacturers of agricultural equipment, electric power companies, soil and water agencies, educational institutions and government agencies.
