Applied Engineering Sciences - Academic Advising
The Applied Engineering Sciences major is designed to be sensitive to the concerns of people, relevant to the technological developments in today's society, and sensitive to an increasing number of employment opportunities requiring the application of technology to a variety of fields. The graduate of the program will not be a professional engineer, but rather an individual well grounded in technological awareness and competent in a specific application in areas such as marketing, management, manufacturing, social science, telecommunications, journalism, or others. Examples of employment opportunities are technical sales, technical writing, purchasing, production supervision, industrial and personnel management, political analysis, and telecommunications personnel.
