2015 Engineering Graduate Research Symposium

The Engineering Graduate Research Symposium features research posters and presentations from MSU Engineering graduate students, and is an opportunity for faculty, students, alumni and industry professionals to explore connections between research and practice.

The Symposium is free and open to the public.

 

Registration

MSU Engineering Graduate Students and Post Doctoral Scholars who wish to present research posters should first discuss their poster presentation with their adviser. After obtaining their adviser’s permission to present, students and post-docs should CLICK HERE to submit their poster registration. Poster registrations are due by March 15, 2015.

Other graduate students, post-docs, faculty, staff and guests are invited and encouraged to attend the Symposium, which is free and open to the public. Registration is required to participate in the lunch: CLICK HERE to register to attend the Symposium. Even if you choose not to pre-register for lunch, you are welcome to join in the poster and research presentations.

8:00-9:00am                Registration, Continental Breakfast, Poster Set-Up

9:00-9:15am                Welcome (Dr. Karen Klomparens, Dean of the MSU Graduate School)

9:15-10:45am              Fitch Beach Research Award Nominee Presentations

10:45-11:00am            Break

11:00-11:45am            Poster Session A (presenting departments TBD, based on registration)

11:45-12:30pm            Poster Session B (presenting departments TBD, based on registration)

12:30-12:45pm            Break / Take Down Posters

12:45-2:15pm              Awards Lunch

2:15-2:45pm                Keynote Speaker

2:45-5:00pm                Career Connections - chat with industry representatives over coffee and dessert

 

Location, Maps and Parking Information

The Symposium will be held at the MSU Breslin Center. Enter the Breslin through the Ticket Office, located just north of lot 63E. Click here for an annotated map showing the entrance and parking lots; additional campus maps are available online at: http://maps.msu.edu/

  • MSU Faculty/Staff permit parking is available in Lot 63E, immediately south of Breslin.
  • Visitor parking is available in Lot 63W, accessible from Harrison Road and south of the Breslin Center; parking validation will be provided if you bring your ticket to the Symposium registration table.
