One of the downsides of a world powered by the internal combustion engine is the exhaust fumes. In fact, they’re a sign that a majority of the energy being produced is actually being wasted. But now, scientists are working on a process that would recapture some of that lost energy and convert the exhaust fumes into more energy. Which, in turn, could actually save gas, says Timothy Hogan, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at Michigan State University. Associate VP Americas of MANCEF
Dean Aslam was elected Associate VP Americas of MANCEF (http://www.mancef.org) by NANCEF Board of Directors in August 2008. MANCEF’s mission is to connect the global community engaged in the commercialization of emerging micro and nano technologies. With its presence in Americas, Africa, Europe and Asia, MANCEF's signature event, the Commercialization of Micro and Nano Systems Conference, is held every year in different part of the world (COMS'08).[more]
