BAE Receives Grants to Fund the Anaerobic Digestion Research and Education Center (ADRE)
| BAE Students Gail Bornhorst is a recipient of an NSF Graduate Fellowship. Jacquelyn McNett is winner of Outstanding Biosystems Engineering Award Michael Wiederode , has received one of the prestigious Department of Homeland Security Undergraduate Fellowships. Michelle Packard and Shannon McGraw each received SMART (Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation) fellowships from the Department of Defense to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Biosystems Engineering at MSU. |

ANR's 2008 Distinguished Alumnus Dr. Walker is a professor in the Dept. of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell, Director of the Walker lab, Northeast Sun Grant Initiative and member of the Presidential Forum on Renewable Energy. He is a national leader in biofuels and industrial biotechnology, and he is currently the Director of the Northeast Sun Grant Institute of Excellence - leading a fourteen-state regional research and economic development program focused on biofuels and bioproducts.
