Laboratory safety

Every new member of our research group must download an familiarize him/herself with CEE Safety Manual.

Prior to beginning experimental work in the laboratory:

    1. Chemical hygiene and laboratory safety.
    2. Compressed gas cylinder safety.
    3. Right-to-know.
    4. Hazardous waste initial and refresher.
    5. Laboratory security awareness training.
  • All group members must take lab-specific training (see Lab- specific training checklist).
  • Depending on the nature of your research, you may also need to take other courses (this needs to be discussed with your adviser). Examples of additional safety courses include:
    1. Biological safety.
    2. Medical waste.
    3. Respirator initial training and fit test.
    4. Radiation safety.
