Log Wall Construction
July-August 1996 During July and August 1996, Log walls were assembled from precut lengths supplied by Northern Land and Lumber.  Each log was assembled on the top of the wall using 8 inch log screws by Olympic Fastner.  A total of thirteen rows of 16-20 eight inch diameter logs were assembled using 1800 log screws.  The picture below shows the walls and the large tarp used to protect them during their assembly.  In the foreground is the first log of (3) log trusses to be assembled on site to support the roof and dormer structure.
