LINKS: Language Interaction and Knowledge Discovery

LINKS lab was established in January 2004. The research activities in the LINKS lab include fundamental research in data mining, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, as well as their applications in multimodal conversational systems, multimedia retrieval, recommender systems, and cybersecurity. The laboratory includes three research groups:

• Data Mining Group directed by Prof. Pang-Ning Tan

• Machine Learning Group directed by Prof. Rong Jin

• Language and Interaction Research (LAIR) Group directed by Prof. Joyce Chai
